Final Exam

4.This phone photography was taking outside of Las Vegas next to world largest Ferris wheel in 2014. It was spring break, my family and I packed up and went to this place to relax. I was constantly taking phone photos for the entire trip, I would of never thought a simple phone could make me do such work, spend such time and effort into something like this. Maybe when you saw this picture It wasn't a really big deal, but It was to me. I'm afraid of heights for me to even go on a Ferris wheel was nearly impossible but yet that day I did and It was the biggest of them all , I was proud of myself. Now but i go back and saw this photo, It captured the moment during the time.

5. Shapes are formed at  the intersection of three lines and distinguishable in and out of the natural world, The ways shapes interact in a photograph draw the eye in and create interest in the composition. The positive space in a photograph may be composed of multiple shapes. But form is another hand is a little different, form is the three-dimensional of the object, and since the photograph is two-dimensional, this is represented in light and shadow. Form includes three elements: length, width and depth.Without any light, there would be no form. And took this Photo on our school's garden.Link of : Form

6. Pattern photograph capture the repetition of the photo, it gives the picture utility and structure  capture the imagination. Patterns appear whenever strong graphic elements lines, colors, shapes, or forms repeat themselves. Both pattern and repetition is almost the same , but in a repetition photo you would have to fill your frame with a repetitive pattern can give the impression of size and large numbers. The key to this is to attempt to zoom in close enough to the pattern that it fills the frame and makes the repetition seem as though it’s bursting out.

7. Ashlay 's weebly about-me page inspired me, and this is my Weebly blog.

I think Commercial Shot was my best in all of my Photo projects, because this project is not only fun but also my group member and I work extra hard on this project and all of us was satisfied  with the work we done. Even though it was an individual project our teacher was cool enough to let us work together and create something we are so proud of. This project definitely improve my skill of taking a photo but not only that I learned how to work hard , fast and as a team. I learned to see not only the surface of something but also the inside.

Photo Weebly Web Review

Third Period:Jason Stiltz
This photo is the best because i really like the lighting of the picture, how he took the picture at the perfect time. The sun set right between the door. the background and the things round the little house made contrast, made the viewers focused more on the house and the sun set.
Weebly Web :http://gr8j8.weebly.com/

First Period: Cassie Shu
This is the best because i like her creativity using something simple like the ground and a crayon drawing to make something like this. And her smile is really nice too
Weebly Web :http://cassieshu.weebly.com/

Fourth Period : Karthik Ramesh
This is the best in 4th period because is simple and colorful, it has the right amount of variety but enough to not let people think is too much and over complex. And this reminds me of the childhood, when i was a little baby i play Lego all the time.

story with a photo-fun time

There was a time I went to Vegas with my friends and cousins  and  there was a very big Ferris wheel there, in fact it was the largest Ferris wheel in the world, which made me very excited on this trip. At first i was not sure if i actually have the courage to go on this ride, while in line I was making all kinds of excuses to convince myself not to go on it but eventually i did.My cousins wen on first , then my friends, and at last was me. Even though I am afraid of heights I went to the ride and enjoyed most of the trip.

MSJMCW Story

During this week in Mission San Jose,
clubs joined together in the horse shoe and sell foods to the students.
The all the money they earned during that week will be the funds of their own club.
This event week is really competitive interesting and fun.
Even though all the clubs are racing each others on sells and profits,
they would still help one another if one is in trouble.
The first day of the week, students ,right before the lunch bell ring were all prepared at the door
and ready to get the food that they crave.
Foods from different countries and all around the world attracted majority of the people in school.  I'm not in the majority,
everyday i would walk from my 4th period class to the long long school lunch time and get my lunch
, even that day.
 So i really enjoy
i don't have to wait in line so that long

Best Example of Variety in NYT :Lens

We choose number 6 in "Documenting the Blues in the Mississippi Delta":

We think this photo has Variety because there are  many different things in this photo that shows variety like the trees, wood chips, wood blanks, barrels of soup, buckets, boxes, junks, and many more other variety of things in the back ground. The definition of variety is "the quality or state of being different or diverse" which is shown in the photo, a variety of objects all clumped together in one photo. It fit the the definition of variety perfectly in my opinion.

My favorite photo from Lens Blog " Look From Behind,With Feeling"

My favorite photo from Lens Blog " Look From Behind,With Feeling" is the photo on page #9. The women was on crow patrol and was shooting the tree to scare the crows away  in order to save the valuable crop the farmers planted . This is my favorite photo in this album because the lighting of the photo and how the woman's clothes was more sharp than the things around her, making her obvious to notice. Second reason is because of composition of soft focus, how the trees, car door and houses was more out of focused than the spark and the woman. Third reason is because i really like explosions.

Final Exam - First Semester

1. What is your favorite photo from this Lens slideshow? Provide three reasons that it is your favorite.

My favorite is the one on page 9. It's my favorite because the background and the dear fits perfectly together, when i'm looking at this picture i feel very peaceful and quiet. Almost seems  like i am in the picture as the dear. The mist made contrast with the dear so it made the dear more standout which is one of my reason to like this picture also. i also like how the photo showed rule of composition, the rule of third.

2.Which photo is the best from the slideshow? Provide three reasons
page 7 was the best photo in this slideshow, because it showed life and movement inside this photo, it also showed the rule of third, the contrast of light between the man and the glowing balloons.which i think is the best.

3.What is your best work this semester? Include the blog link. Give three reasons why this is your best work. If you had more time, how would you do to improve the project.
The best work i had created possibly could be the boy in the after picture in the dark washing his face. Its my best work because it showed what i wanted to show, the calm and peaceful feeling of the photo but yet depressing in the same time. The contrast of light really stand out in this specific picture, and also there are more than one way to look at this photo like the reflection inside the mirror, "how would you know which is the real boy in the mirror".

4.You chose three rules of composition. What are your three rules?

5.Select one of your own photos that illustrates your ability to apply at least two of the three rules. Insert the photo into the post and label the picture. Clearly include the two rules of composition that you are using.
Rule of third and shallow depth and field
I use composition of shallow depth and field, also the rule of third in this picture. Even though I did not showed the shallow depth and field in the photo well but is really obvious if you seen the before picture. It is the rule of third picture simply because the main focus(tree) of the picture is not in the center of the photo.

6.I have three rules of composition. I have explained one already. What is my first rule?
My first rule of composition was the shallow depth and field. It shows A portrait or close-up that isolate the subject from a distracting background to emphasize one part of an image.

7.What are the benefits of working in groups? Provide a list with five benefits.
Working in a group has a lot of befits  not only for yourself  but also for your group members also. Working with a group can be a lot of fun, you will not lose interest on the thing you are working on when you tend to when you are working alone. You have backup ans support, when you did something wrong you can always count on your members to remind you and help you. You would have more people to share the stress, for example in a presentation you would be less stressed and nervous if you are with someone instead of going up alone in front of a crowd. It's more productive, simply because there would bee more than one person working on the same thing.Less time consuming when you are working with a group, you can divide the work instead on doing it all on your own.

8.What are the difficulties of working in groups? List five difficulties.
1.lazy members that doesn't help
2.not fit to work with the people in your group
3.communication
4.everyone has their own style of working, sometimes they would stand for their style instead of accommodate.
5. argue between member's own perspectives with another

9.What is your favorite work product produced by another person in this class? Provide the link to their work.
The first picture was my favorite.
A little history

10. You studied a master photographer and reproduced his or her work. Who was the photographer? What did the photographer contribute to the field of photographer? List one significant contribution.
My photography was Margaret Bourke-White and she was American photographer and documentary photographer. She is best known as the first foreign photographer permitted to take pictures of Soviet industry, the first American female war photojournalist, and the first female photographer for Henry Luce's Life magazine, where her photograph appeared on the first cover.

11. What is Dorothea Lange's most popular photo? (Does the photo have a name?) Where was the photo taken? When? What agency employed Dorothea when she took the photo?
Her most famous photo was called Migrant Mother took during the great depression under the agency of life.

12. Who was the creator/founder of Life Magazine? When did the (photojournalism) magazine begin publishing?
Time founder Henry Luce bought the magazine in 1936, solely so that he could acquire the rights to its name, and shifted it to a role as a weekly news magazine with a strong emphasis on photojournalism. LIFE was published weekly until 1972, as an intermittent "special" until 1978, and as a monthly from 1978 to 2002.

13. Robert Capa was a founding member of what organization? What year did the organization start? In 1947, Capa co-founded Magnum Photos in Paris with David "Chim" Seymour, Henri Cartier-Bresson, George Rodger and William Vandivert.

14. Robert Capa took the photo known as "Falling Soldier." When and where did he take the photo?
Falling Soldier taken September 5, 1936 at Cerro Muriano.
